Infant Class (6 months – 18 months)

Kidz Camp provides just the right environment to promote the healthy development of infants. We care for infants in safe surroundings to give them the security and comfort they need, which in turn encourages their development. Our nurturing caregivers interact with each child through conversation during times of feeding, diapering, and other optimal situations. This enables the caregivers to observe and follow each child’s own individual rhythms for eating, sleeping and activity.

Within this nurturing environment, infants feel ready to investigate the world around them as part of their natural development. We cultivate motor development as they begin to move and explore. Using the Montessori Method, our teachers stimulate each child with appropriate visual, tactile and verbal activities, including books and music, in order to foster learning at these earliest stages of development.

We also emphasize the importance of maintaining good communication with our parents. Cooperation between parents and caregivers is crucial to keeping on top of the constant changes that occur throughout this stage. Close communication also enables both parents and caregivers to preserve continuity from the home environment to school.
